Cinnamon Essential Oil by doTERRA is a powerful oil with a warm, spicy, sweet-fiery aroma, obtained from the bark of the tree by steam distillation. Due to the high content of cinnamaldehyde and eugenol, it has strong antiseptic, warming and stimulating properties. The oil activates blood circulation, supports a healthy metabolism, strengthens the immune system and improves digestion. It is also known as an aphrodisiac, tonifying and uplifting. It is widely used in cooking for flavoring dishes and drinks, as well as in cosmetics for anti-cellulite programs and skin care, but requires extreme caution due to its high activity.

Application

Method of application Recommendations
Diffuser Use 3-4 drops in a diffuser to increase tone, freshen the air and create an invigorating atmosphere. Goes well with citrus (orange, lemon) and wood oils (sandalwood, cedar). Apply daily or in courses, as needed.
Apply to skin For oral care, add 1 drop to 60 ml of water and rinse your mouth. To maintain joint health, especially in the cold season, dilute 1-3 drops with fractionated coconut oil in a ratio of 1:2 (concentration 0.1–0.5%) and do a warming massage. Suitable for anti-cellulite mixtures. Be sure to conduct a sensitivity test due to the high risk of irritation. Apply daily or in courses.
Cosmetics Used in anti-cellulite and toning products for mature and flabby skin. Suitable for creams, oils and serums in very low concentrations (0.1–0.3%, 1 drop per 10 ml of base oil). Do not use on sensitive or damaged skin.
Sprays Used in antiseptic and warming sprays for rooms, as well as for repelling insects. Dosage: 2-3 drops per 100 ml of water. Combines well with citrus and cloves.
Bath / Inhalation For baths, use 3–5 drops with an emulsifier (salt, honey, cream) for a warming effect and relief of muscle spasms. For inhalation, apply 1-2 drops to palms, rub and inhale to stimulate colds or fatigue. Suitable for steam inhalations for acute respiratory viral infections.
Cooking To support the health of the immune system, take 1-2 drops orally in a Veggie Caps vegetable capsule, or in 1 tsp of honey, or in 120 ml of drink (soy/rice milk) 1-3 times a day, daily or in courses. To soothe an irritated throat, add 1 drop to hot water or tea and drink slowly 2-3 times a day. Use to flavor food and drinks (1 drop per 200-500 ml of base, if food-grade). Children under 6 years of age should not take internally.
