Lime essential oil from doTERRA is a bright, toning oil with a sweet and sour citrus aroma, obtained from the peel of lime fruits by cold pressing or steam distillation. High content of D-limonene, γ-terpinene and citral provides powerful antiseptic, antioxidant and brightening effect. The oil supports the immune system, improves digestion, promotes detoxification and lifts the mood. It is effective for the care of oily and combination skin, helps to lighten age spots, improve skin turgor and is used in anti-cellulite programs. Due to phototoxicity (when cold pressed), caution is required when applying to skin before sun exposure.

Application

Method of application	Recommendations
Diffuser	Add 3-4 drops to a diffuser to lift your mood, tone and purify the air. Combines with mint, bergamot or eucalyptus oils. Apply daily or in courses, as needed.
Applying to skin	Dilute 1-2 drops with fractionated coconut oil (or other base oil, 1-2%) and apply to skin to lighten pigmentation, tone or care for oily skin. Avoid sun exposure for 12 hours after application (for cold-pressed oil). Perform a sensitivity test. Apply in the evening or in courses.
Cosmetics	Used in toners, masks and creams for oily, combination or pigmented skin. Effective in anti-cellulite mixtures. Dosage: 1-2 drops per 10 ml of base oil. Do not apply before sun exposure.
Sprays	Used in refreshing, deodorizing and antiseptic sprays for rooms, body or linen. Dosage: 2-3 drops per 100 ml of water. Combines well with lemon, grapefruit or mint.
Bath / Inhalation	For baths, add 3-5 drops with an emulsifier (salt, honey, cream) for toning and skin care. For inhalation, use 1-2 drops in steam inhalations for colds or to relieve fatigue. Suitable for adults and children over 2 years old.
