Oregano Essential Oil by doTERRA is a powerful oil with a sharp, herbaceous, camphoraceous aroma, obtained from the leaves of the plant by steam distillation. High levels of carvacrol (up to 80%) and thymol provide strong antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and antioxidant properties. The oil is widely used to support the immune and respiratory systems, improve digestion and cleanse the body. In cooking, it is used as an aromatic spice, replacing dried oregano, but requires strict adherence to dosage. Due to the high concentration of phenols, oregano oil requires careful use, mandatory dilution and limited use in inhalations and on the skin.

Application

Directions	Recommendations
Diffuser	Use 1-2 drops in a diffuser to support the respiratory system and purify the air. Use for short periods due to the strong aroma. Pair with tea tree, eucalyptus or lavender oils. Use with caution, no more than 1-2 times a day.
Applying to the skin	Dilute 1-2 drops with fractionated coconut oil (or other base oil, concentration less than 1%) and apply pointwise to problem areas of the skin (acne, fungus, warts). To cleanse surfaces, mix 10 drops with 500 ml of water in a spray bottle. Conduct a sensitivity test. Use occasionally or in courses.
Cosmetics	Used only pointwise in products against acne, fungus or skin infections. Not suitable for sensitive skin. Dosage: 1 drop per 10 ml of base oil.
Sprays	Used in antiseptic sprays for rooms or surfaces. Dosage: 2-3 drops per 100 ml of water. Combines with lemon, tea tree or eucalyptus.
Bath / Inhalation	Baths are not recommended due to the high risk of skin and mucous membrane irritation. For inhalation, use 1 drop in steam inhalations for colds or sinusitis, no more than 1-2 times a day, with caution.
Internal use	To support the immune system or respiratory system, add 1 drop to a VEGGIE CAPS vegetable capsule, 1 tsp. honey or 120 ml of drink (soy/rice milk, water). Use 1 time per day, daily or in courses. For cooking, use 1 drop instead of dried oregano in sauces or roasts. Not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
