Peppermint (Mentha × piperita) is a hybrid of water mint and garden mint, first described by Carl Linnaeus in 1753. dōTERRA® Peppermint Essential Oil is steam distilled and, due to its high menthol content, is of the highest quality and has a bright minty aroma with a powerful cooling effect.
