Application

Method of application Recommendations
Diffuser Use 3-4 drops daily in the diffuser of your choice as a natural repellent. Has a powerful antiseptic and immunomodulatory effect. Suitable for epidemic periods. Requires short sessions (up to 20 minutes), do not use at night. Not recommended for children and people with asthma without medical supervision.
Applying to the skin To keep the skin clean, dilute 1-2 drops of oil in 4-5 drops of fractionated coconut oil (or other base oil). Apply daily or in courses, as needed. Can be used pointwise for acne, fungus, inflammation. Requires a base oil and precise dosing. The thymol chemotype is the most irritating, linalool is softer, but also with caution.
Cosmetics Not used in classic cosmetics for the skin of the face or body. Spot remedies for acne, dandruff, fungus are possible – strictly in small doses and as part of professional formulas.
Sprays Used in antibacterial, antiviral mixtures for air disinfection. Goes well with eucalyptus, tea tree, ravintsarai. Do not apply to skin as part of a spray.
Bath / Inhalation Not recommended for baths – can strongly irritate the skin and mucous membranes, even when diluted can cause a burning sensation. Only pointwise and briefly for inhalation. Helps with bronchitis, sinusitis, cough. Better in the form of steam inhalation with 1 drop of oil. Do not use on sensitive mucous membranes or for small children.
Cooking To strengthen the immune system in winter, use 1 drop of oil in a Veggie Caps (34100001) or in 2 teaspoons of honey or in 240 ml of drink (soy/rice milk) 1-2 times a day, daily or in courses, as needed. Warning: do not take internally for children under 6 years of age. Despite the fact that thyme itself is used as a seasoning, the essential oil is too concentrated. May irritate the gastric mucosa even in small doses.
